Book Review "Laird of Midnight by Victoria Dahl"

Kenna : a poor widow with nothing and none to hold. Her rich family abandoned her after she married her poor husband who has been death. Now, she work as a waitress in lowly place own by her husband’s cousin. She was treat like lowly woman. Her husband’s cousin ignore her, except how much she could bring him more money.He don’t care when his customer often grope her, touch here and there.

Finlay : a vampire, the laird of MacLain clan. All of his family have been slain by a group of vampire. He stay alive to revenge the the vampires who slain his family. That’s his darkest secreet. No one know. They only know that Finlay is the last MacLain clan and the damn one. They don’t know what kind of damn is that.

He hunt his enemy every night. For 5 night, he’d been watching and waiting for her last enemy to come in a place where Kenna work. In those everynight Kenna watch  him. He doesn’t understand why this gil notice him, while he try hard to make poeple ignore him with his special talent. And he did it to them, but one girl
. Kenna.

Kenna is not happy to serve this peasant who come to this place. They always rude, grope her body, touch here and there. But MacLain. She feel save around him. I find peace and  content whenever she come to his table, even if she don’t know why.  Whenever MacLain come to his table, she can’t take away her eyes from him. There is something about him that lure her to come to him.

Vampire got a sharp  sense, and when Kenna come close to his table, he could sense her pleasant scent. Just by her scent, he know, that Kenna is his mate. His fate.  This instinc make him hard to resist the temptation of claiming Kenna and slay all hand who dare to touch her. Till Finlay can’t hold anymore. That night when he see Kenna come out alone, he follow. And when He see her crying, He can’t resist anymore to hold her and kiss her.

The Consequence of his act make his last enemy sense his scent all over Kenna and make her his next victim. Fortunately, before Jean could finish his plan , Finlay come to save Kenna. But, before Finlay could kill Jean, he feel the urgency to make sure that Kenna didn’t bitten by Jean. A moment of hesitancy is enough for Jean to flee.

Therefore, Kenna won’t be save till Finlay bring Jean to his death. He urge Kenna to come along with him, cause there’s nothing to stop Jean for harming Kenna, but stay by his side. Then....     what? You have to read by yourself! LOL. Well, I can’t tell you the rest, cause the chemistry of finding out the plot will fade away.  That’s why I’ll just give you the review, not the summary of books. LOL.

Now, about this book, fisrt sight of this book, I’m not sure want to make its review, cause I never read this author’s book. But, I try to not judge the book by its cover, back story even author name. This is nocturnal book. Of course. There’s a vampire here. But it’s also historical romance. It happened around 1500. And it’s like happened in Scotland.

So far, it’s a good book. You know, I love it when the hero say to his heroine “mine”. So anybook with something like that will be welcome.
