Book Review "What If?: Serious Scientific Answers to Absurd Hypothetical Questions" by Randall Munroe

"What if everyone on earth aimed a laser pointer at the moon at the same time? What if you could drain all the water from the oceans? What if all the lightning in the world struck the same place? What if there were a book that considered weird, sometimes ridiculous questions, and it was so compelling that you found yourself skimming its pages to find out what would happen if you threw a baseball at light speed?
With What If, Randall Munroe has written such a book. As he does in his extraordinarily popular xkcd webcomic, Munroe applies reason and research to hypothetical conundrums ranging from the philosophical to the scientific (often absurd, but never pseudo) that probably seemed awesome in your elementary school days—but were never sufficiently answered. It’s the rare combination of edifying and fun." —Jon Foro

This book is a writing about science and the ridiculous over it. It's funny, full of humor, and hilarious.
By reading the questions and answers from this book would make you to sit and think things you've never thought before. Oneof those phenomenon is What is the farthest one human being has ever been from every other living person? Were they lonely? Answer: It's hard to know for sure. The most likely suspects are the six Apollo command module pilots who stayed in lunar orbit during a Moon landing: Mike Collins, Dick Gordon, Stu Roosa, Al Worden, Ken Mattingly, and Ron Evans. Each of these astronauts stayed alone in the command module while two other astronauts landed on the Moon. At the highest point in their orbit, they were about 3585 kilometers from their fellow astronauts.

If you want the logical answer to some weird questions like, Is it possible to cry so much you dehydrate yourself? Or what would happen if you tried to hit a baseball pitched at 90 percent the speed of light? You have to read this book.  It's there's something simliar on website, but there's so many what if around the world and most of them are hilarious, and you'll not find hilarous but logical answer for those question like what Randall tell you in his book.

Sooo, find out more about funny what if around us! LOL.
